It’s easy to set up, easy to share, and includes everything you need to begin collecting client feedback.

The design options are limited compared to Typeform, but for many salon owners, it’s more than enough.

Jotform

Jotform offers more customization than Google Forms and can be a great middle-ground option for salon owners who want additional features without committing to a larger investment.

It provides templates, branding options, and flexible form-building tools that work well for surveys, consultations, and client intake forms.

Booking Software Forms

Many booking systems include consultation forms, questionnaires, or intake forms built directly into the platform.

If you’ve read my other blog posts you probably already know I am a Vagaro Pro loyalist in my personal salon studio. What I mean by that is, I have only ever used Vagaro because nothing else has ever come close to giving me all of the features that Vagaro does.

Not that I think it’s perfect, but it does have forms available that you could use to build a survey and email out to your clients, all in one.

If your software already offers these features, don’t overlook them.

The best survey tool is the one you’ll actually use consistently.

When Should You Send a Salon Client Survey?

There isn’t one perfect answer.

Some salon owners send surveys after every appointment, while others send a larger feedback survey once or twice each year.

Consider sending surveys:

  • After a first-time appointment
  • After launching a new service
  • Following a major business change
  • At the end of the year
  • When you want feedback on pricing, products, or client experience
